Right… this is what I call a magazine worthy photo. And one where you can actually see the outfit. OK, the shoes are a little hidden, but the main features are the white flared trousers and the bright blue jacket. The jacket is a couple of years old and I got the trousers in the sale late September 2017. Never wore the outfit as winter came after I bought the trousers and in 2018 my knee had no sympathy for these high heeled shoes. Perhaps this year I might? Of course I can have the hem of the trousers taken up and wear them with flat shoes. But I love wearing flared trousers with high heels. My already long legs seem endless. When you have an asset, capitalize on it.
Buttoning up the jacket was rather a problem last year. With my recent weight loss, that problem is solved.
Below: Kitty, my photographer, who once again took fab photos. Poor soul bruised a rib and will suffer for a couple of months because of it. Bruising always takes such a long time to heal.
Below: We started in Santpoort, a small town in the North of Holland. It was glorious weather. Wearing my blue/yellow/white shopper, which I found several years ago at the Max Mara outlet in Turin. It is by Marina Rinaldi.
Below: Checking to see whether the necklace was OK. Added the “Paris necklace” at the very last minute. In my blue/yellow/white shopper, I was carrying this green transparent bag (seen last week), a clutch and a mirror. When “doing a shoot on location” as we call it, you have to bring your own stuff.

Below: Little lanes are good backgrounds. The wind spoiled it a bit. Not easy walking on these heels. Trust me, I had my flat shoes with me, hoisting up my trousers as I wore them.
Below: A man with a dog turned up and the dog wanted to “nose-kiss” me haha. I laugh easily.
Below: Very flattering this pose (NOT). It is the mill behind me which deserves all the attention.

Below: Kitty suggested a less windy location. On our way to it, we passed some very pretty houses. Posh area this is. They don’t look very expensive but believe me, in a country where land is scarce, especially in this wealthy part of the country, these houses are for rich people.

Below: OK, still a bit nippy. Nose is getting a bit red. The buttons on this jacket (Karen Millen) aren’t original. They broke as they were very fragile and I had these buttons in my sewing box from an old Dolce & Gabbana suit. Works very well in my opinion. The white top is my heat-tech shirt by Uniqlo.
Below: Around the corner, Kitty put me on this bench. The estate is well kept as my white trousers were still white when I got up.
Below: My patent leather slingbacks. Cannot really walk on them yet, especially not because I was wearing hold-ups. They made me slither and slide in these shoes and that is bad for my knee. Once I can go bare-legged or better said, bare-foot, it might be better.

Many thanks to the people of Duin and Kruidberg. Even though there was a private party going on, they were very helpful. We didn’t want to disturb anyone, so we only stayed for 15 minutes. I know from experience that the food there is excellent. One of the few places left where you can actually talk to each other during your meal. All other restaurants are so acoustically bad, you have to shout to hear one another. (This is NOT a sponsored post.)
What happened in my life this week
Celebrated both my birthday and Ron’s on Sunday with the family. Which meant shopping for food on Saturday, a task which is usually Ron’s. His task was minding dog Watson. Shopping for food, housework, cooking… I hate it all. If you want to entertain guests however, it is a must. We decided to have the gathering at Ron’s allotment, which is quite large and beautiful with a pond, (fruit)trees and plants. It was really nice. My mum didn’t feel up to a car drive of an hour and chose not to come. Bummer. She wasn’t feeling 100% either. So I visited her on Easter Monday.
I am only working (hard) Tuesday and Thursday this week. As I am spending a long weekend in England meeting Nikki of Midlifechic. Yay. We have met before in 2016 at the 30-40 Blogger meet in London and in 2017 at the UK Blog Award. I love her writing and her blog is like my weekly magazine.

Update puppy Watson
He now sleeps downstairs in his bench. Ron lets him out for a wee etc at half past 6 in the morning and puts him back in his bench for some more sleep while I get ready to go to work. So far so good. The wee accidents in the house are very little, so nearly housebroken. As for the jumping on the furniture, we now have chicken wire covering the seats of the couch and the chairs. Plus a can filled with a few little stones which we throw at him if he tries again. The biting isn’t over yet. We have high hopes of the change of teeth, starting in two weeks time.
